2020 GACs
The 2020 CCN GAC lineup & schedule
>> see 2020 workshop details for individual GAC workshop schedules <<
Below you can find the lineup for the 2020 CCN Generative Adversarial Collaboration program!
We received six excellent proposals for the inaugural year of the CCN Generative Adversarial Collaboration project. All six showed superb levels of scientific rigor, and garnered strong enthusiasm and engagement from the whole community. So, for this first round of the program, we’ve decided to accept all six proposals to launch the GAC series with a bang.
See all the proposals, and their open reviews, on OpenReview.net:
Competing theories of probabilistic computations in the brain. 15 October, 15h00 - 18h00 UTC
Is it that simple? The use of linear models in cognitive neuroscience 19 October, 15h00 - 18h00 UTC
Is Perception Probabilistic? 21 October, 15h00 - 18h00 UTC
Generalization of information - integrative encoding or category-based inference? 22 October, 13h00 - 16h00 UTC
Dimensionality and flexibility of learning in biological recurrent neural networks 23 October, 13h00 - 16h00 UTC
Do grid codes afford generalization and flexible decision-making? 23 October, 16h30 - 19h30 UTC
At this stage, we encourage the authors to also consider inviting members of the community to join their GAC. Although they’re not obligated to grow their teams, if this is something you’re interested in for a particular proposal, we encourage you to contact the GAC organizers to talk about options. Remember, though, that even if you don’t get involved in a GAC, you’ll have the opportunity to submit a reply to their position papers, to be published early 2021!
All GAC kickoff workshops were held on Zoom in October 2020.
We are grateful for the enthusiastic participation in the GAC project so far by both organizers and the whole CCN community.
